 The Black Magic continues its long running residency @ Bar903 this Monday at the usual time of 9.30pm. For those of you not in the know, The Black Magic Big Band,which made its debut in 1995,is an 18 piece band playing the music made famous by the Dorsey, Basie, Herman, and Ellington bands through to funk and fusion of the modern era. The band is led by jazz trumpeter John Fleming with fine soloists like Stefano Muscovi on trumpet, Steve Hanks and Bertrand Huvé on sax, and Evan Ryder and Pat Corless in the trombone section. Driving the whole band is ace drummer Declan O'Donoghue.
